7th Annual Indiana Lineworkers’ Rodeo - Sept 15-16

The 7th Annual Indiana Lineworkers’ Rodeo will be held Sept. 15-16 at Central Park in Mishawaka, IN. This will be the second time Mishawaka has hosted the event, having done so for the first time in 2014.

The only one of its kind for public power lineworkers in the state, the two-day family-friendly, interactive, and competitive event is designed to showcase the skills and knowledge of a lineworker in a fun and safe environment. Teams of lineworkers climb poles, build overhead construction, pull up wire and hang transformers, all within a set time limit. Events are judged on safety, work practices, neatness, ability, equipment handling and speed.

The IMEA Indiana Lineworkers’ Rodeo is the state’s most energizing safety and training event. The rodeo features four levels of competition: journeyman team, individual journeyman, journeyman senior and apprentice. There are five events for apprentices, three for seniors (50+) and individuals and four in the team category. In addition, there will be a Mystery event open to all competitors, judges and auditors.

More information is available at the IMEA website.
