Mayor's Youth Advisory Council Food Drive

The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council has begun their largest community service project by decorating and distributing food collection boxes to many City of Mishawaka Departments. This will be the 10th year for the Thanksgiving Food Drive and the goal this year is to provide 40 Thanksgiving Dinners to Mishawaka families in need. Any extra food will be donated to the Mishawaka Food Pantry.

Following is a list of items, along with how many of each are needed, and the locations where food items may be dropped off:

Utilities Business Office   Wastewater

Mishawaka Police Department   Mishawaka Fire Department

Monetary donations are also being accepted as the group will need to purchase 40 turkeys.

The Mayor’s Youth Council will be packing boxes on Sunday, November 15th, so all food will need to be taken to City Hall on or before Friday, November 13th.
