Keeping Mishawaka Beautiful

We Take Pride in Our Community

The City of Mishawaka encourages residents and visitors to help keep the community clean and beautiful. We ask you to do your part to keep Mishawaka looking great. Our city has long been dedicated to preserving our historic architecture and presenting Mishawaka as “The Best Hometown in America.”

Our city and park staff work hard to create a welcoming environment for everyone who visits or lives in our city. First impressions are everything. We want our Midwest values and community pride to be at the forefront of Mishawaka. We have amazing resources set up for residents to help keep Mishawaka beautiful.

We are asking you to be the eyes and ears of our city. If you are out enjoying the city and happen to notice an issue that threatens the appearance of our city (graffiti, vandalism, etc.), please visit our Report a Problem page to report the incident. Thank you in advance for your commitment to the betterment of our city.

Yard Waste Reminder

For years our trash company has required that Mishawaka citizens separate their yard waste from their regular trash and place them in separate locations for pick up. Republic Services would like to remind you that this is no longer the case. By dumping yard waste, especially grass, into landfills it helps to produce methane gas which in turn helps landfills to decompose better.

Yard waste and regular trash will be picked up by the same truck and does not need to be separated in different containers or placed in separate locations.
