The goal of the Code Enforcement Division is to protect the health, safety and welfare of City of Mishawaka residents. Violations have a detrimental affect not only on the appearance of a specific property, but the entire neighborhood.

Concerns that Code Enforcement addresses include:
• Illegal sign placement
• Tall vegetation
• Debris or other nuisances
• Animal/pet violations
• Parking of vehicles
• Broken window panes
• Timely snow shoveling
• Scraping and peeling paint
• Substandard or dangerous structures
• Dilapidated fences or arbors
• Home-based business concerns
• Unsecured swimming pools
• Open wells or storm cellars
• Abandoned buildings

Check out our easy to read diagrams for examples of these and other ways you can keep your own neighborhood and Mishawaka looking good.
