Central Park Performance Venue Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Mayor Dave Wood announced plans today for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the new Performing Venue at Central Park. The $800,000 stage project was created to provide additional programming space along the City’s popular Riverwalk and increasingly vibrant downtown. Funding for the project came from the City’s Consolidated Tax Increment Financing District.

Mary Gibbard Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Mayor Dave Wood announced plans today for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the renovation of Mary Gibbard Park. The 1.5-million-dollar investment includes a large pavilion, new restrooms, playground, BMX Bike Park, soccer fields, open play area, splash pad, free little library, and a Born Learning Trail.

INDOT To Begin Work on Lincolnway E (SR933) from Capital Ave to SR 23

Indiana Department of Transportation Press Release

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces that milling is set to begin Wednesday, May 1 on State Road 933 in St. Joseph County, as part of a resurfacing project between State Road 23 and State Road 331 (Capital Avenue). This work is weather permitting. In the case of rain, the start of work will be pushed to the next day.

Spring Leaf Pickup April 22-26

Mayor David Wood announced today that the Mishawaka Street Department will be picking up leaves for one week, starting Monday, April 22, 2019. This means that Mishawaka residents may begin raking leaves to their curbside for a Monday, April 22nd pickup which will continue for a one week period only, through Friday, April 26th.
