State of the City Address Postponed

The State of the City Address scheduled for March 23, 2020 in the Battell Center Auditorium has been postponed due to COVID-19. The address will be rescheduled at a later time.

Former Mayor Robert C. Beutter Passes Away

It is with great sadness that we announce that former Mayor Robert C. Beutter passed away on Jan 2, 2020.  Known affectionately to many as "Mayor Bob", he served the City of Mishawaka for most of his life including as the longest serving mayor in the City’s history, having served for five terms from 1984-2003. Mayor Bob was a Mishawaka icon that leaves behind a great legacy in the Princess City.

2019 CIPP Sewer Rehabilitation Information

Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) Sewer Rehabilitation work will be taking place in various locations throughout the City beginning on Monday, August 12, 2019. A complete list of locations for this year's project can be found here. Updates will be posted as dates and times of specific locations are finalized.

Salvation Army Red Kettle Ring-Off - Dec. 3

Tuesday December 3, 2019, also known as "Giving Tuesday", is the date for the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Ring-Off Challenge between the City of Mishawaka and the City of South Bend for the Red Kettle Trophy. Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood, City Clerk Deb Block, Police Chief Ken Witkowski, and Mishawaka Schools Superintendent Wayne Barker, along with City of Mishawaka employees and School City of Mishawaka employees will be ringing the bell throughout the day. Donations for this event will be accepted from 9:00am-6:30pm at the Indian Ridge Walmart in Mishawaka. Donations for the competition can also be dropped off tomorrow at the Mayor’s Office in City Hall from 8:30am to 4:45pm.
