4th Annual Salvation Army Ring-Off - Nov. 29

Tuesday November 29th, 2016 also known as "Giving Tuesday", is the date for the 4th Annual Salvation Army Ring-Off Challenge between Mayor Dave Wood, City of Mishawaka and Mayor Pete Buttigieg, City of South Bend for the Red Kettle Trophy. Donations for this event will be accepted from 6:30am-6:30pm. Mishawaka won the first two years with South Bend taking top honors last year. This year Mishawaka Schools and South Bend Schools will be joining the "competition"! 

Final Week For Leaf Pick-up Program Nov 28 - Dec 2

Mishawaka’s annual Leaf Pick-up Program is scheduled to end the week of November 28 thru December 2, 2016. This will be the eighth and final pass for residents to get their leaves out to the curb for pick-up.

Regional Cities Initiative to Advance More Quality of Place Projects in North Central

Indianapolis  (Oct. 21, 2016) - The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) has approved Regional Cities Initiative funding to support three additional quality of place projects in north central Indiana that will promote STEM programming, increase downtown housing options and support the revitalization of historic buildings in the South Bend-Elkhart region.
