Mishawaka Police Chief Ken Witkowski has named Detective Lt. Robert Pawlowski as the recipient of the Mishawaka Police "Officer of the Year" award for 2015. "Lt. Pawlowski has proven to be an outstanding officer," commented Chief Witkowski. "His accomplishments and actions over the course of the year and beyond reflect highly upon him and the Mishawaka Police Department."
The Mishawaka Police Department will honor those who have fallen in the line of duty with a memorial ceremony on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 7:00pm. The ceremony will take place at the Mishawaka Police Department located at 200 North Church Street in Mishawaka.
The public is invited.
Mishawaka’s 67th annual Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 30, 2016, beginning at 9:30 A.M. The theme for the 2016 Memorial Day Parade will be "Duty-Honor-Sacrifice”. The parade will begin at Third and Main Streets and it will turn left at Mishawaka Ave. and end at Battell Park.

Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood will deliver his State of the City address on Monday night, March 7th, 2016. The State of the City address will immediately follow the Common Council Meeting which starts at 7:00pm and will take place in the Council Chambers.
The theme for this year’s address is “Mishawaka Transformations”. Mayor Wood will not only be talking about the projects completed in 2015, but will also outline the projects of 2016 and the transformative qualities that they have on the City and the impact that they will have on future generations.
