Haimbaugh Appointed To Assistant Chief

Mayor Dave Wood and Mishawaka Police Chief Ken Witkowski have announced the appointment of Lieutenant Russell Haimbaugh to the position of Assistant Police Chief - Services Division of the Mishawaka Police Department. The Assistant Chief post is one of three Assistant Chief Positions in the Department, each reporting directly to the Chief of Police. Haimbaugh replaces Steve Ravotto who retired on July 7th after having held the Assistant Chief post since he was appointed on September 25, 2006. 

Blasko Hired As Mishawaka Parks Superintendent

Mayor Dave Wood has announced the hiring of Phil Blasko as Superintendent of Mishawaka Parks. Blasko was hired to fill the opening created when previous Superintendent Terry Zeller left for a position in Chico, California.

VanNevel To Lead Code Enforcement Dept.

Mayor Dave Wood has announced that Joe VanNevel will be the new Code Enforcement Director for the City of Mishawaka as of June 20, 2016. VanNevel replaces George Obren, who will retire on June 17th, after 38 years with the City of Mishawaka. 

City Receives 2016 Tourism Investment Award

Visit South Bend/Mishawaka announced their 2016 Tourism Award winners on Wednesday, May 25th. The City of Mishawaka is proud to be a recipient of one of these awards, the Barnes & Thornburg Tourism Investment Award. This award was established in 2012 to recognize a venue or organization which has demonstrated a visible investment, commitment and dedication to the growth of tourism in St. Joseph County.
