The 32nd annual Mishawaka Summerfest returns to a two-day format and will be held in Merrifield and Crawford Parks Friday, June 26th from 6:00p to 10:45p and Saturday, June 27th from 7:00a to 10:00p.
New for 2015, Summerfest will be offering five distinct vendor categories - food and beverages, arts & crafts, network marketing, not-for-profit and retail. Vendors will open to the public Friday evening at 6:00pm and again on Saturday at 9:00am. Also new this year will be Tony Hoard and his K-9 Crew Disc Dogs featuring several performances in Crawford Park beginning at 11:00am on Saturday, and the first annual Summerfest Talent Show.
Summerfest kicks off Friday evening at 6:00pm with vendors opening and The Xtreme Fun Party Co. featuring their inflatable kid’s zone in Crawford Park. Music by The Joe Feingold Project will begin at 6:00pm as well. Also performing Friday evening are Ruby Jazayre’s Sisters of the Nile and Company, Michiana Fire and Drum, and at 8:45pm you can catch The Michael Kelsey Group from Indianapolis, Indiana. Friday evening activities will conclude with fireworks beginning at approximately 10:20pm.
Start your Saturday with the Mishawaka Lion’s Club pancake breakfast at 7:30am. The Summerfest 5K Run begins at 8:00am from Merrifield Park as does the Michiana MOPAR Club Car Show. Vendor groups open up to the public at 9:00a along with the inflatable kid’s zone. Racing pigs, camel rides, petting zoo, magic shows, a talent show and a kid's treasure hunt are all part of a fun-filled Saturday activity schedule.
Saturday evening's musical entertainment will feature David Barnett Thomas at 6:00pm followed at 8:30pm by Hotel California "A Salute to the Eagles". For more than two decades, Hotel California has touched the hearts of fans all over the world, faithfully and accurately reproducing the Grammy award-winning sounds of the Eagles.
