The 33rd annual Mishawaka Summerfest returns to Merrifield and Crawford Parks on Friday, June 24th and Saturday, June 25th.
Summerfest activities kickoff Friday evening at 6:00pm with music by Out by 8 followed by singer/songwriter Zach Dubois, an Elkhart, Indiana native now residing in Nashville, Tennessee. Vendor groups will open to the public at that time as well as The Xtreme Fun Party Company’s inflatable kid’s zone in Crawford Park. Fireworks will conclude Friday evening activities beginning at dark.
Saturday morning activities start at 7:00am with the Summerfest Princess City Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Mishawaka Lion’s Club. The pancake breakfast will feature the A Spoonful of Magic's Princess Party character, Beauty, from 8:00-10:00am for a free meet and greet session. The Summerfest 5K Run begins at 8:00am from Merrifield Park along with the Summerfest Michiana MOPAR car show in Crawford Park. Vendor groups open at 9:00am along with the inflatable kid’s zone.
Saturday will also feature camel rides and a petting zoo along with Tony Hoard and his K9 Crew Disc Dogs, Animal Enterprise racing pigs and the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team performing throughout the day. Sponsored by the Hannah Lindahl Children's Museum, Historic Mishawaka bus tours will run from 10:30am to 1:30pm and highlight historic builidings, locations and people important to the history of the City of Mishawaka. The Summerfest Talent Show competition will be held once again on Saturday starting at 11:00am on the Merrifield Park stage. (Pre-registration required)
Saturday evening’s musical entertainment will feature Rulli’s River City Band followed by Good Vibrations: A Celebration of the Beach Boys, a nationally recognized group from Las Vegas, Nevada.
