City of Mishawaka Supports Upcoming Human Rights Awareness & Awards Luncheon
Él Ciudad de Mishawaka is proud to support and help publicize the 35th Annual Human Rights Awareness & Awards Luncheon hosted by the South Bend Human Rights Commission. This longstanding event highlights the importance of dignity, equity, and respect in our communities and recognizes individuals and organizations advancing human rights across the region.
The luncheon will take place on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Palais Royale in downtown South Bend. The day will begin with free educational workshops from 8:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., followed by the Awards Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Registration is required for the workshops.
For 35 years, the Human Rights Awareness & Awards Luncheon has brought together civic leaders, educators, advocates, and community members to learn, reflect, and celebrate the work being done to promote fairness and inclusion. The workshops offer an opportunity for meaningful dialogue and professional development, while the luncheon recognizes those whose leadership and service have made a positive impact on human rights in our community.
The City of Mishawaka believes that strong communities are built on mutual respect and understanding. Supporting events like this aligns with the City’s commitment to fostering a welcoming environment where everyone is treated with dignity. By sharing information about this luncheon, the City hopes to encourage residents, organizations, and businesses to participate in and support these important efforts.
Tickets for the luncheon and sponsorship opportunities are available through the South Bend Human Rights Commission. For more information or to register, please contact the HRC at 574-235-9355.
