Mishawaka Utilities Receives IMEA Safety Award of Excellence

The IMEA Safety Award of Excellence is presented to member utilities that demonstrate an ongoing, proactive commitment to jobsite safety. It is one of the most meaningful recognitions a municipal utility can receive, evaluating not only safety performance but also the strength and consistency of safety programs, training, and a culture that prioritizes protecting employees and the public.

This year, Mishawaka Utilities earned the Safety Award of Excellence for the Large Utility Division, one of only three utilities statewide recognized in their size category.

IMEA considers multiple factors when selecting winners, including:

• Demonstrated reduction of workplace hazards

Don Beck Receives IMEA Distinguished Service Award

In addition to the Utility’s organizational award, Mishawaka Utilities is honored to celebrate Don Beck, who received the IMEA Distinguished Service Award—one of the association’s highest individual honors.
