The MPD is actively working every day to build community relationships with law enforcement, build safer environments, and protect their Mishawaka community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cIt\u2019s always a great thing to be able to go to these public events where we can interact with the citizens.\u201d states Mishawaka Police Chief Alex Arendt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cIt brings a comfort level of what we can provide to them, so they know that we\u2019re here as a resource. At the end of the day, we are partners here with our community. We want to be approachable to the children and citizens alike so we can provide the best service.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Featured at National Night Out are free enjoyable activities! Provided through donations from our amazing community partners and the Mishawaka Parks and Recreation, guests can enjoy hot dogs and chips (while supplies last), Kona Ice, bounce houses, various activities and games, giveaways, and Police vehicles and public safety displays.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guests can also utilize community resources, information, and free items from neighborhood watch groups, businesses, nonprofits, and local agencies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Night Out is an amazing way for the Mishawaka Police Department and the community to interact. There will be an activity for everyone to enjoy.
