Mishawaka Memorial Day Parade

(City of Mishawaka) After years of cancellations, Mayor Dave Wood is pleased to see the return of the Memorial Day Parade.

Mayor Wood thanked the VFW Post 360 and said that he was excited to see the triumphant return of the Mishawaka Memorial Day Parade! Thanks to our awesome partners at the VFW Post 360, our great hometown tradition continues. 

The Mishawaka Memorial Day Parade will be the city’s first since 2019.

Floats, marching bands and any patriotic organization will be on display at the parade.  The floats will have this year’s theme: Duty-Honor-Country.

The parade steps off at 9:30 a.m. May 29 from Main and Third streets and continues to Battell Park, 301 W. Mishawaka Ave.

Memorial ceremonies also will take place at 7 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 357 W. Jefferson Blvd.; 7:15 a.m. at Mishawaka City Cemetery, 1300 N. Main St.; and at 7:30 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, 1415 N. Main St. A tribute to sailors takes place at 8:45 a.m. at Beutter Park, 120 Ironworks Ave.
