DEFINITION
This is an entry level position. Employees receive direction from and report to Golf Course Superintendent & Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. Employees will be familiarized with golf culture and golf course maintenance to encourage advancement to higher levels of employment at the facility. Flexible schedule required, will work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

EQUIPMENT USED:
Golf cart and some hand tools

JOB LOCATION:
Ninety percent of the duties will be performed at Eberhart-Petro Golf Course. Ten percent of the duties may be performed off the course.

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:
90% of the work will be performed outside.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Perform entry level maintenance functions necessary to golf course operation.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
1. Emptying trash
2. Raking debris and bunkers
3. Painting
4. Changing tee markers
5. Filling divots
6. Trimming sprinkler heads

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
1. Ability to work with the public and co-workers
2. Good written and verbal skills
3. Golf and Golf course operations
4. Some mechanical aptitude

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid Indiana Driver’s License preferred but not necessary.
2. Must be at least 16 years of age.
