Celebrate The Outdoors With Kids to Parks Day!

The City of Mishawaka and the Mishawaka Parks and Recreation Department take pride in providing memorable experiences for friends and family, creating a fun environment where the community can gather and enjoy the city at little to no cost.

An event to do as such is this Saturday, May 17th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, families are invited to this year’s Kids to Parks Day held right here in Mishawaka.  

The Mishawaka Parks Department will be hosting the event at Hillis Hans Park. The event will include exciting games such as cornhole, GaGa ball, basketball, and other fun games. There will also be scavenger hunts, snacks, inflatables, free Kona Ice, and other various activities provided by Mishawaka’s own organizations and partners! Mishawaka’s Kids to Park Day is a completely free event! 

Kids to Parks Day is nationally celebrated on the third Saturday of May each year. Kids to Parks Day originated in 2011 and was created to connect families to the great outdoors. This special day focuses on promoting families and kids celebrating their local parks and outdoor environments. 

Kids to Parks Day is the perfect opportunity to enjoy all Mishawaka’s parks and outdoor areas have to offer, as well as engaging with the community. Most importantly, Kids to Parks Day is the perfect time for the community to celebrate and connect with nature. The City of Mishawaka looks forward to celebrating Kids to Parks Day!
