The City of Mishawaka takes pride in its dedicated employees and all of their accomplishments. On Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, the City of Mishawaka celebrated Officer Austin Ryan, who was honored with a Prestigious “Governor’s Twenty Award.”
Officer Austin Ryan was proudly recognized by the Mishawaka Police Department for receiving the 2024 Governor’s Twenty Award, presented by the Indiana Police Firearms Training Association (IPFTA).
Every year, the IPFTA hosts a series of four rigorous 48-round firearm course. All who participate from various law enforcement agencies across the state of Indiana compete. Each officer determined to make the top 20 marksmen within Indiana.
The Governor’s Twenty Award is a great honor to receive, reserved for those who demonstrate excellence in their skills, strength, strong discipline, and dedication to firearms training and professionalism.
Whilst participating in the course, Officer Ryan’s hard work and achievement places him among the top twenty law enforcement marksmen in the entire state. His dedication throughout the course is a testament to his elite skills and performance.
Being recognized as a top 20 marksmen is a great honor, not only showcasing Officer Ryan’s skills, but serving as an inspiration to those around him and reflecting the high standards of the Mishawaka Police Department.
