WM Trash and Recycling Reminders – WM Trash and Recycling Reminders – City of Mishawaka Trash Pickup and Recyclables | City of Mishawaka Please know that you must leave your trash and recycling at the curb either the night before or before 6:00am! Keep Bins Clear: Please ensure all bins are placed at least 3 feet away from cars, other bins, and any other objects. This helps our crews collect trash and recycling efficiently and safely.  Please do not place the WM bins on the other side of cars where that arms of the truck cannot reach them!

Lindsay cherishes most with her daughter, Scarlett – traditions

(Excerpt from Habitat for Humanity Communication, with permission from family)
This holiday season, more St. Joseph County families will experience a life-changing milestone: they will spend the holidays in their own homes. Imagine the joy, love, and magic these families will feel as they decorate their homes with festive decor, snuggle on their couches to watch beloved holiday films, dance around their living rooms while listening to jolly tunes, and gather around their dinner tables to enjoy treasured holiday meals. These are a few traditions Habitat for Humanity Homeowner (one of the City of Mishawaka’s own) Lindsay cherishes most with her daughter, Scarlett – traditions they can’t wait for their new neighbors to experience, too!

It has been such a blessing these past three years to kiss Scarlett goodnight in her very own bedroom on Christmas Eve and wake up the next morning to see the excitement on her face as she comes running down the hall of our home, wearing her favorite holiday pajamas. My family is so happy to welcome our new neighbors and for them to experience the same comfort and joy of being home for the holidays!”

After months of sweat equity and determination, working side-by-side with fellow Habitat Homeowners and volunteers, these new families will experience the true magic of the holidays in a home that is undeniably theirs. As they step outside onto their front porch, they’ll see neighbors like Lindsay and Scarlett, stringing twinkling lights, children laughing and playing in the neighborhood, and they’ll feel a sense of warmth knowing they are now party of a safe and welcoming community.

A home to call their own is a dream at the top of so many other St. Joseph County families’ wish lists. This holiday season, Lindsay and Scarlett will experience the gift of home and stability.
