Veterans Day – City Offices Closed Tuesday, November 11th In recognition and reverence of Veterans Day, the City of Mishawaka and Mishawaka Utilities offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th as we honor the men and women who have served our nation with courage and sacrifice. Please note that Waste Management (WM) will operate on its regular schedule.Residents should set out trash and recycling as usual on Monday evening or before 6:00 am on Tuesday. Mayor Dave Wood’s Youth Advisory Council Annual Thanksgiving food drive

The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council is actively working on their biggest community service project of the year, the Thanksgiving food drive.

Please consider donating non-perishable items or monetary donations at the following city locations: City Hall – Main Lobby Doors, Inside Utility Business Office, Police Department and Battell Center. Look for the MYAC donation boxes. The deadline to donate is November 15th.

Following is a list of food needed to help in providing this dinner to these Mishawaka families, but any and all non-perishable food items are appreciated.

  • BOXES OF INSTANT POTATOES
  • CANS/JARS OF GRAVY
  • BOXED STUFFING
  • MUSHROOM SOUP
  • FRENCH FRIED ONIONS
  • CRANBERRY SAUCE
  • BOXED DESSERTS
  • ALUMINUM FOIL
  • DISPOSABLE FOIL TURKEY PANS
