To help prevent this, we recommend letting your water trickle from a faucet during frigid weather. A small, steady stream of water can keep your lines flowing and reduce the risk of freezing.

Noah A. Smith, Newest member of the Mishawaka Police Department

The MPD is pleased to announce that Police Applicant Noah A. Smith has completed all department testing and investigation, He comes to us with police experience, as he is a lateral transfer from the Michigan City Police Department.

Noah, resides in LaPorte, graduated from New Prairie High School and attended the AKS Smith Career Center in Michigan City and participated in the Criminal Justice program. His hobbies include playing the guitar, fishing and shooting.

The Board of Public Works gave their approval and Noah Smith was sworn in as a Probationary Patrol Officer today, Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
