Spring Leaf Pickup & Yard Waste Reminders for Mishawaka Residents

Spring Leaf Pickup & Yard Waste Reminders for Mishawaka Residents

As we welcome the spring season, the City of Mishawaka is ready to assist residents with seasonal cleanup efforts through a combination of leaf pickup services, recycling resources, and our continued partnership with Waste Management (WM).

Spring Leaf Pickup – One Week Only

The Mishawaka Street Department will resume spring leaf pickup beginning Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 10, weather permitting.

  • This will be a one-week collection only
  • Residents are asked to rake leaves to the curb by Monday, April 6
  • Crews will make one complete pass through the City

We appreciate your cooperation in helping crews move efficiently through neighborhoods during this limited collection window.

Additional Yard Waste Options

We understand that spring cleanup doesn’t always fit into one week. Residents have additional options:

  • Leaves may be bagged and placed out with weekly trash service
    • Limit: one additional bag per week
  • Yard waste can also be comingled with your trash or taken directly to the Recycling Center once it opens for the season

Recycling Center Opening

Él Mishawaka Recycling Center, located at:

📍 1105 calle quinta este

will officially open for the season on:

🗓 April 18
🕗 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM
📅 Tuesday through Saturday

This service is available to City of Mishawaka residents only and provides a convenient option for disposing of yard waste and other accepted materials.

Working Together This Spring

Spring cleanup is a community effort, and we are committed to providing multiple options to make it as convenient as possible for residents.

Whether you take advantage of the one-week leaf pickup, utilize WM weekly collection, or visit the Recycling Center, we appreciate your efforts to keep Mishawaka clean, safe, and looking its best.
