What To Do Around Mishawaka This August.

Though July is coming to an end, the City of Mishawaka’s entertaining events are not! The Mishawaka Parks and Recreation team is always ensuring that there is always something to do during the hot summer months.

Throughout the month of August, the Summer Concert Series will be alive and booming until the end of the month. The Summer Concert Series is on Mondays at the Battell Park Bandshell from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, Wednesdays at the Ball Band Biergarten from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and Thursdays at the Central Park Stage from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Not only are there concerts but recurring on Sundays (except for August 31st) is the popular Mishawaka Market! From 10 am-2 pm at Ironworks Plaza, 235 Ironworks Ave Mishawaka, IN 46544, the Mishawaka Market is a family friendly environment where the community can shop, socialize, and enjoy some good food from local vendors.

As for fun Friday events, on August 1st, Taylorville is coming to Mishawaka! Taylorville is an independent Taylor Swift tribute artist (not affiliated with Taylor Swift). Gates open at 7 pm, and Taylorville will light up the stage at 8 pm. Guests can dance through each era for $10/Person, and ages five and under free at Ironworks Plaza. The following week, from August 8th-11th, George Wilson Park, 2605 S. Clover Rd in Mishawaka, will become a massive waterpark for “Slide the Hill!” Slide the Hill will incorporate four custom-made inflatable slip-n-slides.

Registration will be required for all in attendance. There will be different sessions as well. The cost is $7 per person to enter. Tubes or inflatable pool floats are mandatory to enjoy the slide. Sliders should bring their own one-person inflatable pool tube. Tubes can also be purchased on site, while supplies last for $8.
