Leaf Pick Up Schedule for Thanksgiving The Mishawaka Central Services Department will be closed Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th in observance of Thanksgiving. We will move through the city in 3 days from November 25th-27th and will do our best to pick up all areas. Please have your leaves raked to the curb by Monday, November 25th. Once we move through an area, we will not return on your scheduled day. Leaves may always be bagged and put out with your weekly trash pick-up or taken to the Mishawaka Recycling Center, 1105 E. 5th St., from 8:30am to 3:15pm, Tuesday through Saturday if you are a City of Mishawaka resident. Please note that the Mishawaka Recycling Center will be closed November 28th and 29th.

Residential Customers

Start, Transfer or Stop Service

To Start or Transfer service with Mishawaka Utilities, please read the following before filling out the online application. You will need the following documentation prior to starting this process:
  • A Driver’s License, Passport, or state issued ID
  • Your lease agreement, or welcome letter if renting (only provide the first page showing the address where you are starting service, and the last page showing your signature)
  • Your Purchase agreement, closing disclosure, or deed (only provide the first page showing the address where you are starting service, and the last page showing your signature)
  • A deposit in the form of e-check, credit card (Visa, Master, Discover Card, Amex, Apple pay, Google pay) paid via our online payment provider Invoicecloud (service fee included)



Utility Deposit Information – Residential Customers

Electric deposit, gas heat $100.00
Electric deposit, electric heat $200.00
Water deposit-5/8” Meter Size $50.00
Water deposit-1” Meter Size $100.00

In lieu of a deposit, applicants may submit an acceptable letter of credit from a current electric utility provider.




Please Note: Do NOT submit a new service or transfer service request if the requested start date is more than 10 days from the date you submit your request.

Use this form if you don’t currently have service at another address with Mishawaka Utilities.                                  

Transfer Service

Use this form if you currently have service with Mishawaka Utilities and are moving to another address that is serviced by Mishawaka Utilities.

Please Note: If you have an existing deposit at your current address, it will be transferred only if service is being removed and setup within the same day.

Stop Service

Use the link below to discontinue one or more services with Mishawaka Utilities. Note that services cannot be discontinued on weekends or holidays.

  • A deposit in the form of e-check, credit card (Visa, Master, Discover Card, Amex, Apple pay, Google pay) paid via our online payment provider Invoicecloud (service fee included) PLEASE NOTE: If paying your deposit online, credit card transactions have a limit of $500 per transaction.

 


 

Utility Deposit Information

Commercial account deposits are required with the exact amount determined based upon location. The exact amount will be provided to you once your initial application has been reviewed and approved.
