Residents of Mishawaka

Live, Work and Play with Us

There is a reason so many of us choose to call Mishawaka home. Those who live here are not surprised by the recent growth of our city. Mishawaka has truly become a place residents can call home through all stages of their lives. Developing a path for our future, while staying rich in tradition, Mishawaka continues to be a place where many decide to put down roots.

Our Neighborhoods

Newcomers to the area quickly experience the traditional neighborhoods that are scattered throughout our city. We value the history and architecture of our neighborhoods, and many of the newer residential subdivision developments attempt to replicate the “hometown neighborhood” feel. Each neighborhood has its own community spirit, creating a unique experience for new residents no matter where you decide to settle.

City of Mishawaka Parks

Our neighborhoods contribute to the success of Mishawaka. The city continually upgrades and develops new parks and recreation facilities for our residents. Our 28 parks give residents a place to golf, play sports, fish, exercise, host family events and cool off in our splash pads. Our parks create unforgettable memories for our residents. Check out all of them to see what they have to offer your family!

Our Schools

Our city is passionate about providing our residents and their families with an outstanding education. Mishawaka’s school system serves students in the Mishawaka area of all ages. We have schools and programs from preschool through young adult programs. Additionally, many of our residents choose to continue their education at Bethel College, located just minutes from Downtown Mishawaka.
