How We Help You
Mishawaka’s Central Services Division is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all city- and utility-owned property, including all facilities, buildings, grounds, alleys and streets. As a department, it maintains over 180 miles of public streets, 40 miles of alleys, 407 acres of grass, 52 acres of parking lots and pavement, 15 acres of plantings, 13 acres of sidewalks and 21 acres of woods.
Central Services is responsible for the upkeep of buildings and venues including the police station, City Hall, the Battell Center, Castle Manor, the Eberhart Golf Course, all park properties, the offices of the electric, water and wastewater divisions and the business office of Mishawaka Utilities. The department also is responsible for all signage for traffic control, street sweeping and leaf pickup.
Street Maintenance & Storm Damage
The Central Services Division provides many services that help maintain the quality of our neighborhoods. Depending on the season of the year, they include street sweeping, patching, crack filling, snowplowing, curbside leaf collection and storm damage pickup.
Trash and Recycling
All residents of Mishawaka have low-cost trash and recycling services available. Our Central Services Division can provide more information on services, schedules and recycling guides.

Seasonal Services
From leaf pickup to snow and Christmas tree removal, we do it all. Our seasonal services are available to all residents of Mishawaka. These services help keep our community clean and safe throughout the year.
