Mayor Dave Wood Honored to Speak at Summer Bridge Program at MHS

Today Mayor Wood spoke to Mr. Randy Ebright’s Session 2 Summer Bridge program at Mishawaka High School. Students selected the direction of the lesson and chose to learn more about the upcoming projects that will be visible to them in the next year or two. Mayor Wood explained the city’s plans to expand the Riverwalk, add more mixed use buildings in the downtown, as well as key community spaces such as the Mishawaka Fieldhouse and a United Way Community Center in the old City Hall. Students also had important questions about what goes into our rivers and how they can be more informed about events and projects in the future. “I want your Leadership,” said Mayor Wood. “I believe the future leaders are sitting here in this classroom and you are going to be the ones that make this city even better.”
