Leaves are collected the day before your regular trash pickup. If your trash pickup is Monday, your leaves are collected on Friday. Organic Resource and Household Hazardous Waste Center in Mishawaka will open for the 2024 season on Saturday, April 6

Mishawaka, Ind.- The Organic Resource and Household Hazardous Waste Center in Mishawaka will open for the 2024 season on Saturday, April 6.

Regular hours of operation will be Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

The Organic Resource and Household Hazardous Waste Center is located at 1105 E. Fifth St. in Mishawaka.

Household hazardous waste is any item or waste considered toxic, corrosive, or pose a threat to human safety or the safety of the environment.

Residents of Mishawaka are responsible for proper disposal of their solid waste items. Please note, it is illegal to dump or openly burn solid waste in several areas in the state of Indiana. Please understand the proper disposal process for all household waste. The City of Mishawaka thanks citizens ahead of time for their dedication to keeping our city clean and safe.

Mishawaka’s Curbside Recycling Program will continue to address recycling needs.
