Mishawaka Fallen Officer Memorial Service and Blessing

On Friday, May 19th the Mishawaka FOP held the annual Mishawaka Fallen Officer Memorial Service. Because of rain, the event took place in the City of Mishawaka Council Chambers at New City Hall/Police Department at 100 Lincoln Way West.
The event was attended by many from the community and the families who’s loved one were honored at the Fallen Officer Memorial service.
Those in attendance seemed visually touched by the service and appreciated the special remarks from FOP President Rich Freeman, Mayor Wood, and Chief Ken Witkowski.  Even though the service was held inside, Chief Witkowski facilitated a dedication of the new Fallen Officers Memorial site. The Honor Guard performed exceptionally and the heart stirring prayers from Pastor Adam were also very much appreciated!

Since the memorial service the Fr. Jason Freiburger from St. Monica Catholic Church provided a special blessing of the new Fallen Officer Memorial.

“Fallen, but never forgotten.”
