The Mishawaka Fire Department recently responded to a call regarding a dog on the side of the river and the MFD C Shift took quick action and effectively saved another pooch.
MFD crews were contacted about a dog getting on a ledge on the edge of the river. Our crew from c shift was able to bark out orders, pull their rescue boat up to the ledge, then proceeded to assist the dog into the boat. The MFD subsequently helped the dog off the boat and back to the grateful owner.
