Subject: Mishawaka Solid Waste Transition Update

Attention Mishawaka Residents:

As we complete the transition from Republic Services to Waste Management (WM) for trash and recycling collection, please take note of the following important details:

  • Final Pickup by Republic Services: Republic Services will perform their final trash and recycling collection during the last week of December, on your last service day in 2024/your regularly scheduled pickup day.  Please leave your Republic Service bins at the curb for pick-up of the Republic Services bins after your last pick-up date in 2024.
  • Bin Collection: After Republic Services completes their final collection, please leave your Republic bins at the curb on your scheduled trash day. Republic Services will collect these bins following their final pickup.
  • Start Using WM Bins: Beginning January 2, 2025, residents should start using their new WM bins for all trash and recycling collection services.
