City of Mishawaka Dedicates New Veterans Walkway at Battell Park
On Saturday, May 25th, the City of Mishawaka proudly dedicated the new Veterans Walkway located at Battell Park. Mayor Dave Wood led the dedication ceremony, joined by Mishawaka veterans who inspire our community daily. Veterans Walkway was created to honor veterans of the past, present, and future, and to commemorate the sacrifices made by our brave service members.
In remembrance of our fallen soldiers and veterans, we are pleased to introduce the Buy-A-Brick campaign.
The Buy-A-Brick campaign serves as a tribute to all who have served in our military, including those who provided support services and made sacrifices to keep our country safe and free. Bricks honoring our veterans will be placed along the Veterans Walkway memorial, offering a unique and lasting way to memorialize your loved ones who have fought to protect our country. The last day to purchase a brick is July 31st, 2024.
To purchase a brick for a donation of $75.00, the individual recognized must meet the following criteria:
- Reside or have resided in Mishawaka.
- Have served in any of the six branches of the military: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force.
- Be currently in active duty, an honorably discharged veteran, or a fallen soldier who passed in the line of duty.
