In observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 26th, 2025, all Mishawaka City offices will be closed, and WM will not be collecting trash or recycling. Mishawaka Police Department Swears in Two New, Experienced Officers – Jeremy Coney and Joseph Milovich

The Mishawaka Police Department is happy to announce that Police Applicants Jeremy Coney and Joseph Milovich have completed all department testing and investigation, doctor’s physicals and psychological examinations. They come to the MPD with police experience, as they are both lateral transfers from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

Jeremy Coney was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Central Noble High School in 2015. Jeremy attended Purdue University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in computer science, with a minor in Criminal Justice. Jeremy brings over 5 years of experience in law enforcement.

Joseph Milovich was born in South Bend and graduated from Riley High School in 2008. He was in the Army National Guard from 2010-2018. Joseph also attended Indiana University of South Bend where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration. Joseph brings over 10 years of experience in law enforcement.

Upon request by Chief Ken Witkowski the City of Mishawaka Board of Public Works and Safety gave their approval and subsequently Jeremy Coney and Joseph Milovich were sworn in as Probationary Patrol Officers today, Tuesday, February 6, 2024.
