Mishawaka Recycling Center Extended Hours to Support Storm Recovery

Mishawaka Recycling Center Extended Hours to Support Storm Recovery

The City of Mishawaka is pleased to announce that the Mishawaka Recycling Center on 5th will be open tomorrow from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will maintain these hours through Friday. In addition, the center will operate on Saturday for its annual opening dedicated to organic and hazardous waste disposal.

This extended schedule comes in response to the recent storm, which has resulted in significant amounts of brush and storm debris, as well as perishable food items that have spoiled due to power outages. The Recycling Center is prepared to safely handle these materials, ensuring proper disposal and aiding in our community’s recovery efforts.

We encourage residents to take advantage of these extended hours to help keep our city clean and safe during this challenging time. For additional information or any questions regarding acceptable materials, please contact the City’s Public Works Department.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to keeping Mishawaka strong.
