Leaf Pick Up Schedule for Thanksgiving The Mishawaka Central Services Department will be closed Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th in observance of Thanksgiving. We will move through the city in 3 days from November 25th-27th and will do our best to pick up all areas. Please have your leaves raked to the curb by Monday, November 25th. Once we move through an area, we will not return on your scheduled day. Leaves may always be bagged and put out with your weekly trash pick-up or taken to the Mishawaka Recycling Center, 1105 E. 5th St., from 8:30am to 3:15pm, Tuesday through Saturday if you are a City of Mishawaka resident. Please note that the Mishawaka Recycling Center will be closed November 28th and 29th.

2025-2029 FIVE YEAR HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PLAN;
ANALYSIS OF IMPEDIMENTS TO FAIR HOUSING
AND
2025 ANNUAL PLANS FOR THE CITIES OF SOUTH BEND AND MISHAWAKA

Notice is hereby given that the City of Mishawaka will have copies available of the “Draft” Version of the Following Documents as of November 27, 2024:

2025-2029 Five Year Housing and Community Development Plan
Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing for St. Joseph County and the
PY 2025 Annual plans for City of South Bend and City of Mishawaka

The Documents will be available for the City of Mishawaka’s website (www.mishawaka.in.gov), for the City of South Bend’s website (www.southbendin.gov) and at all Mishawaka-Penn Harris Public Libraries, City of Mishawaka Planning Department, St. Joseph County Public Library, and City of South Bend Department of Community Investment. All locations are handicapped accessible.

There will be a 30-day public comment period beginning November 27, 2024 and ending on December 31, 2024. Comments may be submitted to the Department of Community Development, 100 Lincolnway West, Mishawaka, IN 46544.

HEARING TIMES AND LOCATIONS
Two Public Hearing will be held during the 30 day comment period:

In Mishawaka, the hearing will be held on December 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Mishawaka City Hall, Board of Public Works Room, 2nd Floor, 100 Lincolnway West, Mishawaka, IN 46544.

In South Bend, the hearing will be held on December 10, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Investment Department office on the 14th floor of the County-City Building, 227 West Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46601. Both locations are handicapped accessible.
