This helps our crews collect trash and recycling efficiently and safely.  Please do not place the WM bins on the other side of cars where that arms of the truck cannot reach them!

The City of Mishawaka is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of one of our own, Phil Blasko, Superintendent of Mishawaka Parks, and his family for winning the highly competitive TV Christmas light show competition The Great Christmas Light Fight  ! This national platform highlighted their creativity, teamwork, and holiday spirit, and the Blasko family truly rose to the occasion, making Mishawaka shine even brighter.

The competition, which pits families from across the country against one another to create dazzling Christmas light displays, is a festive blend of engineering, artistry, and holiday cheer. Phil and his family’s display captured the hearts of viewers and judges alike with its intricate design, vibrant colors, and synchronized music—all while telling a heartfelt story of community and family traditions.

The Blasko Family were thrilled to represent Mishawaka and to bring some extra holiday joy to the community. For the Blasko family this wasn’t just about lights; it was about bringing their family together to share something special with the world.
