Swim Lessons

Merrifield Pool offers the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program and follows its curriculum for eight lessons per session. Class size ratios are kept at five students to one instructor.

  • Parent/Child sessions are for ages 6 months to 2 years and focus on the child feeling comfortable in the water as well as learning safety skills underwater.
  • Learn to Swim focuses on six levels that teach basic movement to advanced stroke techniques.
  • Preschool sessions are for ages 3 to 5 and offer three skill levels that work on the beginning motions of movement in the water as well as safety techniques.
