Three of our MFD firefighters, alongside others from our region including South Bend and Goshen, have been deployed as part of a swift water rescue team to North Carolina. They are responding to the projected flash flooding caused by Hurricane Helene, ready to assist communities in desperate need. In addition, Mishawaka Utilities electric division has sent a crew of five dedicated team members and two utility trucks as part of a mutual aid effort to assist in the response to Hurricane Helene.
