Haimbaugh Appointed To Assistant Chief

Mayor Dave Wood and Mishawaka Police Chief Ken Witkowski have announced the appointment of Lieutenant Russell Haimbaugh to the position of Assistant Police Chief - Services Division of the Mishawaka Police Department. The Assistant Chief post is one of three Assistant Chief Positions in the Department, each reporting directly to the Chief of Police. Haimbaugh replaces Steve Ravotto who retired on July 7th after having held the Assistant Chief post since he was appointed on September 25, 2006.

Haimbaugh is a 16-year veteran of the Mishawaka Police Department, having joined the Department in January, 1999. He began his career in the Uniform Division where he was assigned to the afternoon shift. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, supervising the most active shift in the Uniform Division. Recognizing Haimbaugh’s expertise in Information Technology, he was transferred to the Police Department’s Information Technology Department where he managed the Department's Information Technology efforts.

“With his unmatched work ethic and vast amount of IT knowledge, Haimbaugh will continue to move the Mishawaka Police Department into the future,” commented Mayor Wood. “I want to congratulate and welcome him to our Management Team.”
